Friends of Rippl,

Happy 2024!

Rippl enters the new year with pretty incredible momentum.  Over the past few months, we’ve made giant strides toward our mission of building a national infrastructure to provide far better care for seniors living with dementia and their families.  All with the goal of keeping them at home and out of the ER and hospital, places they end up far too often.

We launched the new year with a bang.  Just in January, we…

  • Celebrated our 1 year anniversary of caring for patients with dementia, their families and caregivers.  We enrolled our very first patient on January 30th, 2023.
  • Kicked off our first value-based relationship with a national payvider here in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Announced and are prepping for our launch in TEXAS and two other exciting states this year.
  • Joined the Alzheimer’s Association Care Navigation Round Table, a groundbreaking group of industry, academic, and innovation leaders who aim to ensure all persons with dementia and their caregivers have the opportunity to receive equitable, quality dementia care navigation services. Speaking of round tables, Rippl’s JP Sharp (Chief of Growth) and Dr. Jamie Sharp (CMO) guest-starred at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Innovation Round Table last month as well.
  • Published some incredibly positive early results proving our care team and model are making a big difference in the lives of our patients.  We are definitely showing we can engage patients and their families, dramatically expand access to hard-to-find, specialty care (especially to those in hard-to-reach places) and improve the quality of care for seniors living with dementia.

2024 is quickly shaping up to be a big year for Rippl.

Last July, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a ground-breaking new 8-year pilot model (GUIDE) designed to design and fund much better services for seniors living with dementia and their caregivers.  A giant step forward.  And, you can bet Rippl is right in the middle of it.  The evidence CMS used to develop this NEW model is exactly what inspired Rippl’s.  Just two weeks ago, we excitedly submitted our application to participate and look forward to providing care to many more seniors as the GUIDE model starts later this summer.

Lastly, Team Rippl is getting noticed.  By some of the most influential people in healthcare.  In the past three months, Rippl has been named to –

Every week, we continue to add remarkable #changemakers to the Rippl team as we begin to rapidly expand our services.  We now have Ripplers in 10 different states and continue to recruit and hire the best-and-brightest healthcare leaders anywhere.

We are proving a passionate, impatient, slightly irreverent, people-obsessed group of optimists & doers can build a movement to bring dementia care to our aging population – quickly. We believe there is no more noble mission than caring for people at this critical stage of life, and we’re ready to take action.  If you know someone who wants to make a difference, I hope you’ll send them our way or check out opportunities on our Careers page.

Our people are what matters most.  This month, we continued building Rippl Academy in partnership with McLean Hospital in Boston (Harvard University’s psychiatric teaching hospital), hosting our 2nd dementia-focused session intended to give our teams specialized and expert training from the nation’s leading experts in dementia care.  Our McLean collaboration is a great example of how we’re ‘raising the bar’ for ALL seniors by scaling world class training nationally.

As I reflect on the year behind us and march forward into the year ahead, I have to agree with Business Insider’s bullishness – Rippl is “set to take off in 2024” – and we are ready!

As always, thank you for your support, trust and confidence. We’re on our way to helping a lot of very deserving seniors that urgently need our support.
